bhn 2023 Pinot Noir

A refined expression of our craft and our land, this wine is a 100% Pinot Noir that embodies the elusive chase of perfection in this rich varietal.

• Eye: Clear and vibrant with a medium ruby-garnet core and pale rim. Visually precise.
• Nose: Medium aromatic intensity with a lifted and savory profile. Dried rose petals, rhubarb, and tart cherry lead, layered with balsamic, fennel, anise, and an underlying concrete-mineral element. Wild thyme adds a subtle herbal complexity.
• Palate: Structurally bold and compelling. High tannins and a full body frame a mineral-laced palate. Medium-plus acidity brings energy and lift. Flavor profile includes ferric earth, raspberry, saline, and blood orange, finishing with bitters of Campari, rhubarb, anise, and beetroot. A long, savory finish showcases the wine’s tension and depth.

Our 2023 Pinot Noir is farmed with organic practices, and contains no additions aside from minimal sulfur at bottling. Our aging process uses clay amphorae rather than wooden casks, resulting in very rich and mineral expressions from grape to glass. This vintage has an ABV of 15.5%.
